The Mad Tea-Party Treasure Hunt

Solve One of Three Riddles to Claim a Real-World Treasure

Have you always dreamed of claiming a real world treasure, filled with gold, silver, diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and valuable world coins? Now is your chance. On February 28th, 2021, author David Jacobsen released his second Wonderland based treasure hunt book, entitled 'The Mad Tea-Party.'

Based on the original beloved books Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carroll, The Mad Tea-Party is a collection of short stories and poems incorporating some of the original Carroll text, but with new additions and material written by David Jacobsen (author of The Hatter's Hat). In addition to being a literary work of art, the book provides clues and hints to the answers to three riddles, which, if answered correctly, will allow readers to win one of three valuable treasure caches, depending on the riddle solved.

"The Mad Tea Party treasure hunts are much less difficult to solve than The Hatter's Hat treasure hunt," says Jacobsen. "I received a good number of emails from searchers expressing concerns over traveling in pursuit of the treasure given the pandemic. In response, I wanted to create a 100% armchair treasure hunt for people who are not able or willing to search for the original Wonderland treasure. If you can be the first to solve one of the three riddles in The Mad Tea Party, a beautiful treasure cache awaits you. My hope is that this will give everyone an equal opportunity to participate in the fun and adventure."

The three caches each contain gold, silver, precious jewels, and collectors coins. The first person to email the correct answer to any of the three riddles will win the respective treasure cache.

Unlike The Hatter's Hat treasure hunt, which has a 'boots on the ground' component, The Mad Tea-Party is a 100% armchair treasure hunt, meaning you never have to leave your house to claim the treasure. Instructions for how to claim each treasure cache will be provided in the book, which is available now on amazon.com for preorder.

Q&A with the Author

The Author of The Mad Tea-Party was asked three questions about the treasure hunt for the purposes of this article. His responses are provided below.

Question: Is this more or less difficult than The Hatter's Hat treasure hunt?
Answer:In my opinion, the riddles in The Mad Tea-Party are much easier to solve. You only have to solve one riddle, and there is no boots on the ground component. I wouldn't be surprised if these are solved very quickly. I put this together for fun. -D

Question: What made you decide to do a second treasure hunt?
Answer: So many wonderful people are writing me and telling me how much they are enjoying The Hatter's Hat and I wanted to keep the adventure and fun going. I also wanted to provide an armchair treasure hunt for people who are not comfortable leaving the house in light of the pandemic. While some people may be comfortable searching boots on the ground, others are not. This is a treasure hunt for those who are not willing or able to leave the house for a boots on the ground hunt. -D

Question: What do you have to do to participate?
Answer: The riddles and the clues are in my book, The Mad Tea-Party. If you can answer one of the riddles (there are three) you can claim a treasure. The first person to email me the correct solution to each of the riddles will win the respective cache. Those are the only rules. Detailed instructions are in the book. -D
